Sleep Dentistry | Dental Sedation
Are you scared of the dentist? Do you think you need a lot of work done but can't bear to be in the dental chair?
Have you ever thought about the possibility that you could be 'sleeping' while your dental work is being done?
Yes! That's right! Here at Dental at Keys, we offer all our patients the option of getting their dental work done under sleep dentistry - which is also known as dental (twilight) sedation. Another great option is inhalation sedation, which is also known as 'happy gas'. We work closely with highly qualified sleep/sedation experts to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing experience here at Dental at Keys.
Unlike hospital procedures where you are unconscious, sleep dentistry is a little different in which you are awake - but only just! This means it is safer, and the effects of sleep dentistry won't last as long as a general (hospital) anaesthetic. Inhalation sedation ('happy gas') has shorter lasting effects and works very quickly, meaning that there is less recovery time.
As always, it's always vital to plan what needs to be done prior to commencing dental work under sleep dentistry so we would normally recommend all our patients to undergo a comprehensive oral examination first. This is so we can plan your dental work properly but also to ensure that you would be suitable to be seen under sleep dentistry.
We also have a variety of payment plans available - giving you the flexibility of paying for your new smile later.
