Let’s talk Stages of Dental Implants: 🦷 

〰 Phase 1: Dental Implant is inserted into the bone.

〰 Commence healing process of the bone (Osseointegration)

〰 Phase 2: Dental Abutment is placed on the implant.

〰 Phase 3: A custom fit ceramic crown is placed over the abutment, mimicking and serving as a tooth replacement.

🦷 TEETH DECAY 🦷

〰️ Defined as damage to the tooth, which occurs when bacteria in your mouth forms acid that attacks the tooth’s surface or enamel — aka: a Cavity!

So what causes this bacteria?!! 

〰️ A diet high in sugar is the leading cause of cavities. Repeated cycles of sugary foods/drinks cause ‘acid’ to form, which results in the loss of mineral from the tooth’s enamel. Over time, leading to a cavity area.
