What do you have to do to start your Invisalign Journey?
Before doing anything, we need to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. A complete dental check-up and all essential dental treatment needs to be completed. A history of good oral hygiene and healthy gums is also essential. Some dental treatment such as dental implants and dental veneers, may be done after your Invisalign.
We then take measurements & records of you to plan the right Invisalign treatment for your teeth. These records include smile, teeth and profile photographs, x-rays and scans using our advanced 3D tooth scanner. Working with Invisalign and using the advanced ClinCheck software, we are able to finalise your plan in 2 weeks.
Your next appointment involves us going through your detailed Invisalign treatment plan and simulations of your teeth. We detail how long your treatment will take, how much it will cost, our aims for treatment and lastly, how we will move your teeth. Consent forms are sent and once everything is approved and a deposit is paid, your journey with Invisalign starts!

Got Questions about Invisalign in Keysborough?
- How does Invisalign work, and what makes it different from traditional braces?
- Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to gradually shift teeth into their desired positions. Unlike traditional braces, which use metal brackets and wires, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and can be removed for eating, drinking, and cleaning. They are designed to fit comfortably over the teeth and are replaced every 1-2 weeks to progressively adjust tooth alignment.
- How long does treatment with Invisalign clear aligners take?
- The duration of Invisalign treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case, but most patients achieve their desired results within 12 to 18 months. Some cases may take as little as 6 months, while more complex cases can take longer up to a few years.
- Can I eat and drink while wearing Invisalign aligners?
- No, you should remove your Invisalign aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water. Eating with the aligners in place can cause damage or staining, while certain beverages can discolour the aligners. It's important to brush and floss your teeth and clean your aligners before reinserting them after meals to maintain oral hygiene and the aligners' clarity.
